| Sunday November 13, 2005 was a memorable day in Mexicali, B.C. at the "Plaza Calafia" during a celebration of the 30th Aniversary of this Bullfighting Ring. The "Fiesta Brava" began with the revealing of 3 plaques dedicated in honor of three retired Matadores. The "Fiesta Brava" continued as the featured Matadores were honored with commemorative 30th Year Aniversary plaques. Rafael Ortega was the first Matador to recieve the challenge and gracefully engulfed his cape and sword weilding art. Rafael Ortega would score one ear after fighting 2 bulls. Next would be Antonio Barrera who did not score any ears after fighting 2 bulls. Israel Telles, the youngest of the 3, won the event by scoring 2 ears. |
