Sunday November 13, 2005 was a memorable day in Mexicali, B.C. at
the "Plaza Calafia" during a celebration of the 30th Aniversary of this
Bullfighting Ring. The "Fiesta Brava" began with the revealing of 3
plaques dedicated in honor of three retired Matadores. The "Fiesta
Brava" continued as the featured Matadores were honored with
commemorative 30th Year Aniversary plaques. Rafael Ortega was the
first Matador to recieve the challenge and gracefully engulfed his cape
and sword weilding art. Rafael Ortega would score one ear after
fighting 2 bulls.  Next would be Antonio Barrera who did not score
any ears after fighting 2 bulls.  Israel Telles, the youngest of the 3,
won  the event by scoring 2 ears.
